World Bank helps South Asia
South Aisian countries have been blessed by the World Bank, which has given these countries a big sum of $6.6 billion in 2009 to fight against widespread poverty and its side effects. These countries over a period of time have emerged as centers of maximum population in which a remarkable percentage of population lies below the poverty line.
This whooping amount will be invested in 89 projects encompassing tenets for growth of private and public enterprises, fiscal growth and combat against poverty. This also entails investment of $2 billion in infrastructure growth that forms a platform for speedy recovery from economic crisis.
The World Bank realized that these countries have been hit hard by the global financial tsunami and the subsequent repercussions (job layoffs, social unrest, bankruptices, ethnic strife etc.)have been really harsh for the population existing therein. So the World Bank has sactioned this amount to reorganized the otherwise shattered economy of these countries and help people put a tough resistance against the povert prevalent there.

They’re ready to rock the Box office with their new film ‘Kambakkht Ishq’. The couple is all out to do as much promotion of the movie as possible. The movie would be hitting the theaters on July 3 but the lead pair, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor have left no stone unturned to make their film a hit.

The couple has taken technology as their track to promote the film. First they launched some mobile games and mobile unique services and now yesterday, they launched a unique pack of Kambakkht Ishq digital services. Not only this, Akshay Kumar performed his daredevil stunts live to entertain the crowd and simultaneously give them a hint about the thundering stunts that he has performed in the movie. On the other hand, the style icon Kareena Kapoor contributed her bit by advising the female community on beauty tips.
The couple also gave the crowd certain tips on the subject of ‘love’. However, the duo tried to avoid any questions related to the remixing of song ‘Om Mangalam’ for the music video. The film has until now witnesses 100% advance booking even before its release.

In a historic verdict passed by the Delhi High Court on July 3, there have been jubilations across the length and breadth of the country and especially it has been warmly received by the gay community. The court has decriminalized section 377 of the IPC and has allowed gay sex if they are adults. The entire gay community is elated with the judgment passed by the court.

It is hoped that soon Indian society will embrace gay marriages as well. The gay community is too excited as now the homosexuals can live together without the fear of law. Gays in film & fashion industry and have welcomed the court’s decision as they feel that no more they have to hide their sexual preferences and can now be included in the mainstream of the society.
