Ashutosh Kaushik arrested for drunken driving
The winner of two superhit TV serials, MTV Roadies and Big Boss, Ashutosh Kaushik has been penalized for driving when he was intoxicated. A metropolitan court in Andheri sentenced him to a day’s imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 3,100 for drunken driving. As this was not enough, the court suspending his license for the next two years.
The traffic cops caught the 29-year-old TV reality show star near Andheri (E) riding his motorcycle in drunken state along with his friend on June 12 at midnight. The star was driving rash and also was not wearing his helmet or carrying his driving license. Also, when asked to go through a breath analysis, Ashutosh Kaushik threw his starry tantrums and even refuted to reveal his name to the police.
However, on Tuesday morning when he was produced before the magistrate in the court, he was calm and composed. The star was not kept in the lock up for the day as the punishment imparted. Rather, he remained detained in the court premises till 5:30 pm. His bike, which was seized by the police after his arrest, would also be returned to him soon after the legal formalities are done.
