June 18 was the day Shahid Afridi would remember all his life. He was showered with acclaim and money as the runs rained from his bat and afterwards his balls blowing away all the stumps on the ground. He successfully laid the cornerstone of Pakistan’s sensational victory over South Africa in Twenty20 Word Cup semifinal that took place in Nottingham.

Shahid Afridi makes a scintillating half century..
First, he scored 51 runs of just 34 balls , which happens to be his first half century in this series and took Pakistan to reach the score of 149 runs for 4 wickets. Next, he took away 2 major wickets of AB de Villiers and Herschelle Gibbs respectively for 16 runs only.
Former skipper Moin Khan has all praises for this fiery batsman of Pakistan, Shahid Afridi and says, “Afridi has finally come good and lived up to the expectations of his supporters and fans. If he continues his form, there is no reason Pakistan should not win the World Cup.”
